Joe started as a house painter at sixteen and worked his way through the trades from there. Over the next three-and-a-half decades he moved between hands-on work and nonprofit leadership across Southeast Michigan — leading teams, running projects, and staying close to the communities he served.
He founded Fortified Concrete Coatings after seeing the same thing over and over: most Michigan garage floors have no real protection against road salt, dripping oil, and the freeze-thaw cycles that eat concrete alive. The fix was straightforward — bring premium polyurea systems and honest workmanship to the neighborhoods he already knew.
Today, Fortified operates out of Flat Rock, serving families and businesses across Wayne and Monroe counties, from Toledo to Brighton.
